Following the 2022 season, Olean Oilers Head Coach Andrew White was selected as one of the NYCBL’s Rising Coaches.
White, in his first season at the helm, led the Oilers to a 28-14 regular season record – good enough for the top regular season spot in the Western Division. Under White’s guidance, the Oilers would also capture the NYCBL Western Division Championship Title in the playoffs, advancing to the NYCBL Championship Series for the first time since 2018.
White will return to his head coaching position for the Olean Oilers in 2023.
The other Rising Coaches selected by the NYCBL included: James Williamson (Cortland Crush), Mike Gibson (Hornell), Noah Suarez (Dansville), Paul Ludden (Syracuse Spartans), and Beach Harmon (Genesee Rapids).
